(PR March 31, 2013) NEEDS Online in collaboration with the Information Technology Department. Gilgit-Baltistan successfully trained 35 young individuals on digital marketing and freelancing in Gilgit.
The three months long project, which successfully completed today, aimed to equip the youth with trending soft skills to tap into the rapidly growing online job market.
The training was conducted free of cost, and the participants were given practical training on the fundamentals of freelancing and how to create and market content using different digital platforms.
The IT department has further plans to replicate this successful initiative in all districts of Gilgit-Baltistan. The objective is to ensure that more and more youth are trained in online freelancing, which will not only increase employment opportunities but also help in the development of the region’s economy.
